HWA SFV – MINUTES OF SEPTEMBER MEETING

The meeting was held on Sunday, September 10th, 2006 at 6 p.m., at Dark Delicacies Present were: Del Howison, Courtney Joyner, James Mabrey, Lisa Morton, John Palisano and Lisa?

The first item of business was reading of minutes from the August meeting, followed by discussion of business from the parent organization, which included discussion of elections.

The next item was the upcoming mixer. It was suggested that announcements be posted on the Dark Delicacies website, and mailed out in both HTML and text formats. Other suggestions included: Bringing any literature on HWA; bringing a guest check-in sheet; and bringing decorations (which Courtney offered to provide).

Next we discussed the HWA SFV discussion board. It was agreed that the board should include a topic on welcoming new members. Members were also encouraged to sign up for the private workshop in the discussion board.

We closed the meeting with a discussion of what members are working on, and the business of horror screenwriting. Lisa ? has just optioned a horror screenplay for slightly better than WGA minimum, and James mentioned his work as an independent script analyst.

The meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
