Del Howison is an actor, writer, Stoker-nominated editor, and co-owner (with his wife Sue) of the only all-horror bookstore in the U.S., Dark Delicacies. As a writer, Del's work has appeared in Gauntlet magazine and Hot Blood: Strange Bedfellows. His first anthology, Dark Delicacies: Original Tales of Terror and the Macabre (co-edited with Jeff Gelb), was published by Carroll and Graf in 2005 to wide acclaim by both genre and mainstream reviewers; the book was nominated for the Stoker's Best Anthology award, and Clive Barker's short story "Haeckel's Tale" was nominated for the Stoker in the Best Short Fiction category. Del has the distinction of being the only actor in cinematic history to portray the character of "Renfield" three times, and his film credits include The Erotic Rites of Countess Dracula, Horrorvision, and Countess Dracula's Orgy of Blood.
