JOHN PALISANO began his writing career by publishing creepy short stories in his lower-class Connecticut middle school newspaper. Later, he went on to write scathing movie reviews for his even-lower class High School newspaper. During college, John went on to scoop up awards such as the John H. Edmond Literary Award, published in the literary journal "Dreaming of Rhubarb", while his script, "He'd Hoped For Mars", won Latent Image magazine's Screenplay of the Year (click on the Spring 1998 Issue to judge for yourself). He directed a well received short film adaption of the script later that year.

In Los Angeles, John worked as an intern and production assistant to director Ridley Scott at RSA, USA, Inc. From there, John worked as the director's assistant on End Of Days before heading out on his own to direct the feature films Man Made and The Devil's Hand, which will be released on DVD from Brain Damage Releasing this fall. His script Hounds Of Hell recently made it to the Top-100-sucker-bills-pile in Project Greenlight, and he appeared as a guest star on the sitcom Will & Grace (as "Man With Pregnant Woman").

John recently attended the Borderlands Press Boot Camp in Baltimore. He paces in front of his mailbox daily while waiting to place his novel and short horror fiction. You can read about his colorful, eccentric journeys on his blog.
