A rare Southern California native, Lisa has written screenplays, short fiction, film reviews, cartoon television shows, plays, and two books of non-fiction (The Cinema of Tsui Hark and The Halloween Encyclopedia). Her first produced screenplay, 1989's Meet the Hollowheads, won the Grand Prix Award at London's Shock Around the Clock Festival, and Fangoria called 2005's Blood Angels "extra-outrageous". Her short fiction has appeared in nearly two dozen different books and magazines, including the award-winning anthologies The Museum of Horrors and Dark Terrors 6, and the 2005 Stoker-nominated Dark Delicacies. Her article on writing horror for the stage will appear in the 2nd edition of the HWA's On Writing Horror. She lives in North Hollywood with actor Richard Grove, and recently completed work on her first novel. For more about her, go to lisamorton.com
