HWAuk is the UK chapter of the Horror Writers Association, a worldwide organisation of writers and publishing professionals. Formed in the late 1980s with the help of Dean Koontz, Robert Macammon and Joe Lansdale, the HWA continues to promote dark literature and its creators.
