Ramsey Campbell

Born in 1946

Ramsey began writing by emulating the style of H P Lovecraft; it was when he developed his own style that August Derleth published one of his short stories in an anthology, alongside the writers he admired most.

He sold two collections of short stories before selling his first novel, The Doll Who Ate His Mother in 1976 and has since written many novels and hundreds of short stories.
