Member Message Boards & Newsgroups

HWA member boards and newsgroups are maintained by various outlets such as SFF Net (SFF ng), Horror World (HW), Dueling Modems (DM.net) and Authorsden (AD). SFF Net and Dueling modems offer HWA members free newsgroups, author topic areas, or message boards. MoT and TT are by invitation. Some publishing houses offer message boards for their authors.


Member Newsletters & Mailing Lists

Members keep in touch with fans and peers through periodic e-mail newsletters. Some keep a list of addresses in a private folder in their mail system. Most use third-party facilities like Topica, Yahoogroups, and Google Groups. All are FREE to subscribers. The third parties are pretty good about not giving your address to anyone. When you click on some of the links below, your email interface will appear. When you send the email, you are subscribing to the newsletter.



Member Blogs

Some HWA members keep blogs (online journals) to let friends and fans know what is going on in their lives. Blog providers include Livejournal, Blogspot, MySpace and independant blog hosts.



Member MYSPACE Pages

Some members use MySpace to network and to announce their latest projects. There are often additional blogs associate with MySpace sites.


HWA Member Web Pages

Most members' websites are maintained by the members themselves, though some are the work of fans. The HWA is not responsible for personal web content. Most members choose to talk about their writing or themselves, though some address other topics entirely. Some readers may find material on certain sites offensive.

Some author sites are sponsored by SFF Net. If you are a published member of HWA, you may be eligible for a professional discount. Check out SFF Net's membership plans and see for yourself.
