About HWA New England
HWA New England is a regional chapter of the national association for professional horror authors, The Horror Writers Association. HWA New England functions primarily as a networking organization for local authors.

HWA New England is open to all horror authors (novel, short story, poetry) at all experience levels. Our members include full-time, mass market authors with decades of experience as well as unpublished newcomers.

Rhode Island Signings a Success for HWA NE

The Horror Writers Association’s New England Chapter (HWA NE) held two successful group book signings in Rhode Island on January 4 in Providence and on January 11 in Cranston. Both signings took place at Borders Bookstore.

These group signings featured authors including:
- Michael Arruda
- Don D'Ammassa
- Artist Sandy DeLuca (Web Site)
- John D. Harvey (www.johndharvey.com)
- Daniel G. Keohane (www.dankeohane.com) [Providence Only]
- Jon F. Merz (www.zrem.com)
- Kurt Newton (www.kurtnewton.com)

Both group signings presented a wide range of titles including short story collections, anthologies, and novels in hardcover and softcover. Participants agreed that the variety of titles and authors attracted more store patrons to browse the titles and make purchases.
