Gathering of HWA Trillium Chapter and Friends

Hello Everyone,

Happy New Year!!!!

Our next HWA and Friends meeting is on Saturday January 19th at 5 pm at the Madison Pub.

There is a paid parking lot behind the pub for five bucks. A few blocks over there may be free street parking. Madison street is metered parking so watch for the meters and buy a ticket or you will get a nice juicey fine.

Subway is Spadina. Buses too.

I had a hard drive crash and lost emails of people not on facebook. In fact if YOU have a non-facebook email, please send it so I can regenerate my list. Don't assume I have it cos I doubt it!

If you want to invite others, be certain they are writers of horror. This party is getting larger and not everyone seems to be a writer of horror anymore. Spouses are always welcome and children are accomadated until nine.

The half price appetizer specials are on til seven pm. There are beer specials til 8 I think.

This particular weekend, it is likely that I may be running in and out, depending on my son's dance/and new job schedule.

But rest assured, we have the same spot as always and they are glad to see us.

Gathering of HWA Trillium Chapter and Friends

Last month we had about thirty people coming and going!

We won't have the same area this month because someone else has booked it....they haven't given me a section yet, but assured me it would be on the second floor. I told the manager that half the party ends up smoking on the heated patio anyway so it doesn't matter at all where we are.

I will mark our area with balloons again.

Word on the Street - Toronto

Canada’s largest, annual outdoor book and magazine festival, The 18th annual The Word On The Street Toronto is your ticket to free family fun this fall.

Whether you’re an avid reader or just a beginner, there is something for everyone to enjoy at The Word On The Street Toronto!

Visitors can browse the more than 250 book, magazine and literacy exhibitor booths in the festival marketplace or check-out our featured authors, poets, storytellers, performers and industry experts featured at 12 on-site performance venues.

There will be plenty to see and do at this year's festival, and best of all, The Word On The Street Toronto and all of its events are FREE!

So far, the volunteer list is pretty small so any help would be appreciated.
